Refurbishment and Renovation Plastering

Plastering for whole-house renovations, flat refurbishments and commercial refurbishments — from strip-out and repairs to the final skim.

Quick answer

When does plastering happen in a renovation?

Plastering happens after strip-out, structural work, first fix electrics and plumbing, and any new windows or doors are complete. Once the plaster has dried, second fix, joinery, kitchens, bathrooms and decoration can follow. Booking the plasterer early helps keep the rest of the renovation on programme.

Working in existing buildings

Refurbishment rarely involves a single type of wall. A house may have original lime plaster, 1970s patching, new plasterboard in an extension and blown areas around old fireplaces. We identify each background and treat it correctly rather than applying one approach everywhere.

Where people are still living in or using part of the building, we plan dust control, protection and working hours so the rest of the property stays usable.

Commercial refurbishments

In occupied offices, retail and hospitality buildings, we can work in phases, out of hours or around trading, with protection to occupied areas and clear communication with the facilities team.

FAQ

Refurbishment Plastering questions

Can’t see your question? Contact us or call 07377 741264.

Can you work while we live in the house?

Yes, in many cases. We work room by room, seal doorways with dust screens and protect routes through the house. Some stages, like full ceiling removal, are easier in an empty property.

Do you work with our builder?

Yes. We regularly work alongside main builders and project managers, and can also coordinate directly with your electrician, plumber and decorator.
